Articles in Kazakh, Russian, and English. are accepted for publication.

Types of Submissions

The journal accepts:

  • original research articles;
  • review articles.

Core Editorial Principles

The editorial board of the journal is guided by the following principles:

  • scientific significance and novelty of published results;
  • objectivity of editorial evaluation;
  • equality of authors regardless of their citizenship, affiliation, language of origin, gender, race, religious views, or political beliefs;
  • confidentiality of the editorial process;
  • inadmissibility of conflicts of interest;
  • independence of editorial decisions from commercial, administrative, and personal factors.

The decision to publish is made solely on the basis of the scientific quality of the manuscript, its relevance to the journal’s scope, and compliance with ethical standards. This approach is consistent with the principles of editorial and publication ethics published on the journal’s website.

General Provisions

  • This document is the official public offer of the authorized publisher of the scientific journal “EKTU Journal of Engineering Sciences” Non-commercial Joint Stock Company “D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University”, hereinafter referred to as the Publisher, to conclude a service agreement with any legally capable individual or legal entity, hereinafter referred to as the Author, under the terms set forth in this offer.
  • In accordance with the civil legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, submission of a manuscript through the journal website, completion of an electronic form, registration on the journal website and/or payment for services related to editorial processing and publication of materials shall be recognized as full and unconditional acceptance of this public offer.
  • The agreement shall be deemed concluded from the moment the Author accepts this offer by submitting a manuscript, registering on the journal website or paying for the relevant services.
  • By accepting this offer, the Author confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to the terms of this public offer, the publication ethics policy, the privacy policy, the author guidelines and other rules published on the official journal website.

Subject of the Offer

1. Publisher undertakes to provide the Author with services related to the receipt, editorial processing, organization of peer review, technical preparation and, in the event of a positive editorial decision, publication of the manuscript in the scientific journal EKTU Journal of Engineering Sciences.

2. The Author undertakes to submit the manuscript in accordance with the journal requirements, provide reliable information, comply with the standards of publication ethics and, where an established fee applies, pay for the services in the manner provided for in this offer.

3. The Publisher’s services may include:

  • registration of the Author on the journal website;
  • receipt and preliminary technical check of the manuscript;
  • editorial assessment of the manuscript for compliance with the journal’s scope and requirements;
  • organization of the peer review procedure;
  • communication with the Author regarding editorial comments and revision of the manuscript;
  • checking the originality of the text, if necessary;
  • technical editing, formatting and layout preparation;
  • publication of the accepted article on the journal website;
  • publication of article metadata, if necessary;
  • issuance of electronic confirmation of publication or a certificate, if necessary;
  • other services related to the editorial and publishing process of the journal.

4. Submission of a manuscript and/or payment for services does not guarantee publication. The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the editorial board based on editorial assessment, peer review results, publication ethics requirements and the manuscript’s compliance with the journal rules.
